Why Marriage Counseling?
Is your marriage in trouble? If so, then you're in the right place.
The Family & Marriage Counseling Directory was designed specifically
to be the best resource on the web for people in need of marriage
counseling. When I created this site in 2003, there was a huge
"marriage counseling" gap on the internet. If someone did a search
for "marriage counseling," there were a few self-help type sites
that showed up, but where were the

The Family & Marriage Counseling
Directory was made to fill that gap. In the beginning we listed
hundreds of therapists free of charge, just so people searching the
web for marriage counseling and other forms of therapy could find
therapists. The site was immediately successful, shooting to the top
of the search engines within a few months. After a while, therapists
started noticing and asked to be included. I'm proud to say that as
of April, 2007 we have well over 300 therapists who advertise their
counseling practices with our site, as well as many of the original
counselors who were included for free.
Why the Internet?
More and more people use the internet every day. The internet is
a safe and private place to look up information. According to
demographical statistics provided by the Pew Internet & American
Life Project, the more educated one is, and the more income one has,
all increase the likelihood that one uses the internet. This
population is also likely to seek marriage counseling. Hence, the
enormous amount of traffic our site receives.

Here Get a Lot of Referrals?
Yes. Although the amount varies from state to state. The most
popular regions are the Northeast US, and the West Coast (mainly
California). The least trafficked places are states with low
population and the Southern states. Although they all do get
